Heartbeat
Want to wash cars? Want to
bless other people? Let's put the two of those things
together. On July 12 we are having one of our famous $1 car
washes. We meet at the office and put up some signs
advertising "Car Wash - $1." People come in for the car wash
expecting to pay us a dollar. We turn it around on them and
we pay them a dollar for the privilege of serving them. It is
great! People smile and give hugs. They are blessed by the
love they find on the corner of Jolly Rd. and Aurelius.
I hope you will choose to volunteer to help and that you
will donate some of the items needed to do the car wash.
When we all work together, the job gets done! To help
another person with no expectation of reward or thanks is a
blessed thing to do. The other person is blessed and we are
blessed in the process.
Pastor Barb
You should remember the
words of the Lord Jesus: "It is more blessed to give than to
receive." Acts 20:35

Summer Help
Kid's Creek needs your help. Volunteers are
needed to assist throughout the summer starting each
Sunday from June 15th through August 31st. Your
assistance will provide much needed rest for the regular
teachers and assistants. Kid's Creek has made it easy for
you. Literally everything will be set up for you. The
children will be taught via DVD lesson(s) and some
assistance in crafts may be needed. Commit one hour of
your summer by stopping by the Kid's Creek Welcome Tent.
For more information please contact Sue Flory-McIntee or
Jeremy Kratky at the church office or email.
Summer Session
The summer Kid's Creek session is under way. Pre-school
children (age 3) through children going into second grade
are encouraged to attend the summer session. Nursery will
also be made available for infants through two-year-olds.
All other children are asked to sit with their
parents/guardians in the main worship area.

Hinton's Update
Many people around the world
have no way to read the Bible because the Bible has never
been translated into their language. Wycliffe Bible
Translators is an organization that works in many places in
the world learning various dialects and putting the Bible in
the dialect of the people. Many wonderful people are a part
of this incredible missionary work.
Tony and Martha Hinton are friends of Pastor Barb and Bob,
and they are working for Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua
New Guinea. They have two children and they have been in
New Guinea for three years. They will be home on furlough
and we will get to hear from them in person one year from
now. They are a great young couple and you will be inspired
by their story.
By the way, neither of them are working on the translating
of the Bible. Tony is a master mechanic - a "he can fix
anything" kind of guy. He keeps planes, cars, lawnmowers
and all other engines running for the missionaries. He
even has learned how to build a dam by hand with native
workers. The dam protected an airstrip that was a vital
link in transportation. Below is a copy of their latest
newsletter, in which you can read more about the Hintons
and their ministry in Papua New Guinea.
